DIY Card Box

Finally got my cake box/card box finished! This will be put out on the gift table so people can put their cards in it. I haven't punched out the "CARDS" on the di-cut machine but it will be in gold letters on the 2nd layer. You can put your cards on the slit at the top.
Note: If you attempt to do this, do not use wrapping paper. I used scrapbook paper on the top 2 layers but the bottom layer I used wrapping paper and if you can tell, its kind of wrinkled and doesn't look as good. I think because it is just too thin to use on a round object lol So be careful if you attempt to DIY! I learned this after I was almost done and by that time, i was over it.

Centerpieces

I went to Target and found some birdcages that look almost identical to the ones in my inspiration board (except they are black, the color I actually wanted!). Here are some pics with some candles in them. I am going to have 4-5 candles in each cage with all different lengths. The candles I have in there now are different colors because it was the only thing I could find in my house!

Painted my room

I know this is kind of not wedding related, but some of my family wanted to see how I changed my sister's room when she moved out. The room used to be florescent orange, but it was just TOOOOOO bright for me. I decided to put my old iron bed in there and paint diamonds on the walls. After measuring and putting down the tape, it was really easy to just paint in the lines! It took about 2 hrs. Here are some pics!

I REALLLLY want to go to Ireland

I think I would just die if I could go to Ireland for my honeymoon. I've always wanted to go there. I think the scenery is sooo beautiful! I love their accents and it would just be so much fun to go overseas and still be able to understand the language! Here are a few places I would like to visit- Dromoland Castle and the Cliffs of Moher

Booked a photographer!

So everyone knows that I am completely obsessed with photography. Well, I just booked my photographer, Robert McClory, this past week and he is AMAZING! He is actually a graduate from the DBCC photo program so we def. hit it off from the start. I really love his style and I think he is going to do a great job. I am not a conventional bride and don't like the posey shots. My engagement pics must have shots of me and Mike with our cars! I think Robert is going to have fun with that. Anyways, here is the link to his blog if anyone would like to check out his work! If anyone is thinking of using him, he comes highly recommended and he is really enthusiastic about his work.
